Hey Fall

Hard to Find Cover Art

I stepped outside today and said, “What’s good Spring?” (But I meant Fall…). For the first time in 4 years I am getting to experience Fall at home, out in the country, as apposed to the city. I’m usually stuck inside but I must say that the weather and the sights around me are beautiful. The falling leaves the changing colors, Autumn is all around.

Especially at home, this time of the year really gets me in an outdoors, woodsy state of mind, and in honor of that I’d like to bring to the table a little tune by my man Pappy. Nothing is more outdoorsy than Folk and Bluegrass, and nothing’s more Folk and Bluegrass than a banjo.  And nothing’s more banjo than…okay you get the picture.

This tune, “Two Timer” is the first single off of Pappy’s upcoming album entitled “Pappy Time”.  You might recognize Papst from his work with the Bluegrass/Americana jam group Cabinet (Ropeadope proud!) but his solo alum is much more laid back and straight up country then the danceable jams of Cabinet.

Anyways, this will be sure to put you in the mood for Fall. Toss this one on the iPod, throw on your flannel and corduroys and go for a little stroll in the woods.
