Meet Sun Glitters.
My life has been feeling a bit distorted from reality, in the very best way possible. And that’s how I’m going to segue into the amazing chillwave-electronica artist known as Sun Glitters; the mastermind behind this deep, hauntingly gothic yet calm music.
“To Nice To Be True” has an uplifting feel at the immediate start of the track which may be from the oscillating frequencies and light-hearted sweeping beats. I like that it builds into crunchy electronica but never reaching overkill.
I’ve always said that electronica is the closest genre of music to classical. With pop and other types you don’t get the variety of changes in moods and phrases, the different keys and melodies that switch up so often. The amount of dynamics that go on in electronic songs geek me out hard, perhaps that’s why I am so drawn to them.
Sun Glitters is the moniker for Luxembourg artist, Victor Ferreira. I’m not sure if the vocal samples are of him or someone else but I like the way he shapes his songs around them, or maybe he does it the other way around? Either way, his sound is trademarked with broad synths, wonky dissonant beats, and some sort of sparkle of high frequencies to wash over it all. His remixes are damn perfect as well; follow the link for even more tunes.
