Just in case ANY of you were wondering, my power is back on. Good timing right? Today I broke out the hat and the gloves and pretty much waterproofed myself from head to toe. Living without electricity for 3 days I got damn rugged.
Anyways, while public-transing it earlier an amazing thing happened. The song, “Love,” by London’s Daughter (Elena Tonra) popped up on shuffle and it clearly set the musical tone for my afternoon. The lyrics are quite raw and honest, gripping emotion that sits heavy in the bottom of your stomach. She takes you there, then builds a beautiful crescendo that comes crashing down leaving you stunned and wanting more. “Love” is the fourth track off her soon-to-be-released debut EP, The Wild Youth (Nov 21.).
