I’ve been in a really big post-rock instrumental kick lately. This one is a treat anyhow. It’s one of those songs you want to close your door and feel something to. Just beautifully cinematic.
Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles is a New Jersey band that has taken their name from the Chinese film that goes by the same title. The film is about a father and son’s relationship, a diagnosis of cancer and the grappling with deep rooted and buried issues. Interestingly enough, the band has just released a track last month they wrote for a friend who was diagnosed with cancer as well but has recently overcome it.
