Those highway eyes of yours.

Usually I can peg an international artist when I hear one, especially one that comes from the Nordic region.

But, Finland’s Swaying Wires sounds a bit like many things wrapped in one. Sometimes I hear a little Jenny Lewis back in the early Rilo Kiley years, or something similar to Land of Talk with the thrashing guitars and light female vocals, maybe even some Eisley thrown in there.

I like humble bands and Swaying Wires is just that. A modest one-woman act from the beginning that took its time expanding into a now four-piece show. Introverted and reflective, listeners who yearn for meaningful music won’t be lost.
