We have reached the home stretch of the countdown ’til Coachella, there’s an end in sight finally. A month or so to go and then I’ll be immersed in the California desert. Sleeping some cold nights and sweating out equally scorching afternoons all whilst being completely surrounded by music, it’s what I’d like to call a perfect vacation (well..for the time being).
Dawes is an indie-rock band hailing from Malibu that create music soaked with 70′s blue-collar charm and singalongs full of tambourine percussion. I admit, it took me quite awhile to give their latest release, Nothing is Wrong, a full and proper listen but now I understand their sound. No longer lost, I believe these guys could be a fantastic early evening set that I want to listen to sprawled in the cool grass.
