I’ve got some more wonderful sketches for you from Philadelphia-local, Diane Roka. This time she captured Ray LaMontagne when he was at WXPN’s Free At Noon series.
LaMontagne is what I’d like to call a classic American singer-songwriter. Music has always been part of his family yet, Ray never paid much attention to it until his adult life when he was inspired by Stephen Still’s album, Manassas. And now, with back to back solid album releases, his most recent, God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise, helped gain him an acclaimed Grammy award.
