So unassuming this Jon Lindsay is, with his benign use of layering instruments (those horns came out of nowhere!). I dig all of it. “Vapor” comes from Lindsay’s upcoming LP #2, Summer Wilderness Program, which will sure be taking us in many different directions.

Elegant and minimal, Australian singer-songwriter, Siobhan stuns our ears in her newest track, “Don’t Take Her Heart If You’re Gonna Let Her Down.”

Sometimes all it takes is charming female vocals and a light keyboard melody to put a smile on my face. As one of Melbourne’s “2012 artists to watch,” Siobhan is gearing up to release her debut album, Solider Heart, on May 23rd.  Anyone coming of age into a world that’s full of transition, challenges, perseverance, and strength will truly relate to her musical observations of the complexities of moving into adulthood.

From one of my newfound favorite hip-hop acts, DistantStarr, comes an amazing remix compilation of his latest release, Seekers.

The City of Brotherly Love, a location so rich with collaboration, is home to Nex Millen and DistantStarr who have really let their love of production and hip hop shine in Seekers Remixes. Each track we get a taste and break down of an already smooth flow, adding just the right amount of flavor to DistantStarr’s already ill content.

Chicago-based beat maker, Edamame, has got a lot of tricks up his sleeve.

From his impressive album art, to his self-production skills, right down to his glitchy beats that are just so smooth, showcasing a whole different take on the genre itself. I’ve been loving on his music for a little while now. He gives the electronic scene something more bright and tropical to listen to, really finding his own niche.

“Moana-a-Toi (sea of Toa)” is his first introduction to his upcoming EP, Bay of Plenty, due out this July. With a hip-hop inspired sound already, I’m excited to see the direction he takes with this release.

Dreamy indietronica is always a solid find in my book, which leads me to wonder why it’s taken this long for me to discover Snow In Mexico. The duo from Rome create that sort of ethereal shoegaze music that you all know I can’t get enough of.

In their latest EP, Prodigal Summer, each track stands on its own providing your ears with a complex mix of sounds and emotion. Their second track, “4 Days,” feels harder and more post-rock than the rest, atmospheric even. Last song, “Code Playground,” takes awhile to unfold, but becomes an encompassing electronic track that’s subtle yet aurally stimulating.

I like the jump from each song, there’s plenty of different things to listen for. Check out the entire EP below, enjoy.

Easy going melodies, hushed vocals, and a familiarity behind the folk-rock sound was probably what grabbed hold of my attention first time listening to song, “To The Sun.”
