To be honest, I first found out about the band The Submarines through my Dad. Years ago he lent me his copy of their debut, Declare A New State!, and I was immediately enamored by the bedroom-pop the duo created. The album is full of emotional up and down’s, perhaps a sound that’s a mix of Frou Frou and Stars. My dad has got some great taste in music and I know he spent countless Sundays letting this album flow throughout his house.

These two have recently released their Shoelaces EP back in December which you can grab here. They also have a couple of dates at the end of the month supporting Ra Ra Riot. Make sure to check out the two remixes both The Submarines and Ra Ra Riot have done of each other below as well as a few tracks from Declare A New State!
