Hold me until it’s over.

From spending Friday through Sunday in straight heat and direct sunlight, it’s no wonder my body is all out of sorts when presented with a day full of rain showers.

With that being said, Egyptian Hip Hop found their way perfectly to my ears today. These young guys may not have much of an online presence anymore, but I still thoroughly enjoy their (at times) dissonant guitars and unique sound.

Take a look at me.

For only being a bunch of 17 year olds, these kids have a massively mature sound.

But on a serious note, the New York based group Indian Rebound remind me a bit of The Kooks with their swooning indie rock. Their latest track, “The Wooden Ones,” shows off a plethora of potential that I’m only going to assume will keep growing and growing. Seeing groups sound this put together this early with an incredibly classic and effortless feel blows my mind sometimes.

These are critical years and it’ll be nonetheless interesting to see where Indian Rebound find themselves down the road.
