Ha Ha Tonka’s upcoming album, Lessons, was just released this past Tuesday. It’s pretty incredible to say the least. The production has truly stepped up in their 4th studio album. I am really digging this direction in sound – check out their first track, “Dead To The World,” below, and be sure to listen to the entire stream over at WNYC Radio.
Guess what? A cool 120 has been freshly updated for your massive-downloading pleasures. 120 minutes of music (or just about)! This Ha Ha Tonka track is just fantastic and honestly, something I can’t stop playing (apologies to my roommate). Get yourself hooked and be sure to check out the rest of the playlist here.
Since I’ve been the solo female around this place for quite some time now (finally adding Chels to the testosterone-filled mix), I usually feel it’s my duty to bring the emotional and yes, sometimes sappy side to the blog.
This last week I’ve been hurriedly getting ready for my cousin’s wedding in DC in which I was a bridesmaid for. And let me tell you, the Hay-Adams was not prepared for these dance moves on Sunday. Nor was the rest of my family who I’m sure assumed I was off my ass on wine.
Anyways, the wedding got me to really enjoy the moment, live in the present-tense, and just appreciate all those who surround me in my own little world. I was standing up by that altar (for almost an hour in 4 inch heels..) just watching two people who were incredibly in love with each other make the ultimate commitment. It was god damn beautiful I tell you.
So cheers to love my friends, right-click and enjoy.
