I’ve missed this.
A strong female pop artist from the UK and no, I’m not talking about Adele or Ellie Goulding right now. I’ll endlessly love when Kate Nash and the like appear on my shuffle; I enjoy the light and delicate vocals that are filled with melancholic emotion. Smaller production but larger lyrical themes, I’m a bit enamored at the moment by this particular musician.
Jose Vanders will win you over. She will. A classically trained pianist at a ripe young age, she’s built her path steadily since showcasing her talent at the local British pubs. She’s released a fair amount of music since then and after going on tour with Luke Leighfield this past fall, I suspect she may be somewhere in the process of culminating a new album. We can only hope.
Listen to her most recent release, Blue Notes, and familiarize yourself with a handful of tracks below.
