A side project of an ultra talented yet broken up too soon group, White Birds, has now emerged with a sound slightly different from their original.
With just a little bit effects and more on the pop side of the spectrum, Forever Evers, have just premiered their first single, “I Could Stay,” through notable music blog, yvynyl. It’s got a clean sense of flow, nice hazy vocals with nice amounts of reverb - I’m really excited to see how this project plays out.
Fear of Men is more than just a band with an awesome name.
With a sound mimicking their beachy homebase of Brighton (although the band is also based in London) combined with dreamy female vocals and a grainy, lo-fi sound, it shouldn’t come as much as a surprise that the band is currently touring around the UK with the surf rock giants Best Coast.
Their debut single “Ritual Confession” was released in August of 2011 via Italian Beach Babes, but the band decided to self-release their Alice Munro demos last November.
Their latest single, “Green Sea,” is off their second 7″ which was just released on June 18th via Sexbeat. Its music video was self-directed by the band, and was filmed in one of the member’s apartments with a mere budget of £15.
Hope you’re not getting tired of me posting LYSTYL compilations, because as long as they keep putting them out I’ll keep posting them on here. Tuesday they dropped the long-awaited Symmetry which features tracks submitted by a handful of music blogs all surrounding a spacey theme. In their own words:

A few weeks ago I reached out to a few of my favorite music blogs and gave them a challenge; find me a song dark in nature; with the necessary amount of funk to keep the listener constantly grooving!
