Whoa. Where has this label been hiding? I’ve got to get a little more acquainted with what’s going on south of the border.
PIR▲.MD is a Mexican label that specializes in hip-hop and electronic beats. With only being established in 2011, they’ve got a slew of artists from all over the world, each with their own solid style.
Harry Caine, a Mexican beatsmith, has got that nu-jazz downtempo flow I absolutely adore. I can’t get enough of that fluttering synth in his track, “Strawberries,” off his recently dropped Strawberries EP.
A different take on the genre, check out Kryone’s crunchy and glitchy track, “Nosebleed.” It hits hard in all of the right places.
