[Late Night] Underwater Skies EP – Deadpoole

deadpoole

The UK’s Deadpoole has really been honing his beat-making abilities.

His latest EP, done in collaboration with ThinkZebra Apparel, is half-parts chill half-parts wonky and absolutely perfect for those late night moods. I also love the little bits of sampling he peppers throughout his tracks. Check out the free 6-track EP, Underwater Skies, and head on over to his bandcamp page for more releases.

Italo Riviera – Derby Sunshine

derby sunshine

There’s a light at the end of my tunnel. I’ll soon have a nice little break coming up which almost always has me thinking about what I can do and where I can go to fill up that time. Derby Sunshine’s single, “Italo Riviera,” encapsulates that feeling.

A slow yet frenetic build-up, hushed vocals, and plenty of synths to really make the track stand out from others. Under a quick 3 minutes, my ears are completely satisfied. Listen to the single below and be sure to check out more from this London-based musician.

Beat Tape Vol. 2 – Soulful Chemistry

I’m kind of a beat-head if you haven’t noticed already.

I also love the concept of music collectives and I’m real excited about a new group coming out of the UK, Soulful Chemistry.  I’ve been digging hard on the series of beat tapes that they’ve been unleashing on us lately. Each one’s got a number of tracks from a diverse group of hip-hop obsessed artists, completed with a nice layer of smooth on top.

Check out Vol. 2 below and head on over to their bandcamp, they’re gifting it all away for free.
