I’ve been super intrigued by Italy’s mysterious “tennistronic” group, Indian Wells, ever since I encountered them via the DIY label, Bad Panda. The amount of layers they bury inside of each of their tracks, everything from racquet samples to old broadcast commentary, it all wonderfully makes sense once it hits the ears.
And finally, one of my favorite tracks of their debut, Night Drops, has been paired with a visual. Directed by Valentina Dell’Aquila, the video is composed of perfectly timed cuts of old footage, really connecting the feeling of deep nostalgia with the oscillating tones and and eerie piano in the background.
