If you haven’t listened to anything I have recommended in the past..

…then this is the post you must read.

I feel like a mom bragging about her kids but I have to write this.  I must introduce this incredible band from Philadelphia named Lady.  I first met Kate Foust through working with Ropeadope Records this past summer.  We just signed her and her band and I was going to help create their release plan and help market them.  Well…months and months later of working all summer on this thing, it is finally here.  Although I have finished up my time with the label I definitely continue my support.

These guys are all classically trained musicians and are truly genuine people.  The recording is excellent and was done by this talented fellow, which I highly suggest you listen to him as well.  I know from the audio production side of things it really hurts when the band isn’t as talented and you have to spend the extra time tweaking on ProTools or whatever effect/system to make it sound right.  Not with these guys.  See them live and you will know what I mean.  In fact, just watch Kate and you will know what I mean.

Prototype” was something the band started playing at shows for fun but soon turned into a crowd favorite.  We put out this track for promo purposes but it’s also an awesome song with Lady’s style all over this Outkast original.

So, honestly, do yourself a favor and download this.  And then head over to their bandcamp here and buy the EP.

And if you’re in Philadelphia?

Well then get yourself to Time in the city tomorrow night, doors open at 7 PM.
