Fuck me, I’m falling apart.

Fuck me, I’m falling apart.

Songs likes this may be the main inspiration to why this website is still running. Undoubtedly, music makes you feel something. But, it’s songs like this – where you turn the volume all the way up, leaning over your keyboard, anticipating every hymn-like line that seems so effortlessly strung together.

Oh, the mythical Sufjan Stevens. No matter what direction he takes, and I’ve questioned a few, his masterful songwriting always prevails. In his newest single, “No Shadow in the Shadow of the Cross,” our ears are met with a Sufjan from the past. This is the Sufjan I remember, this is the sound I first fell in love with. It almost feels full circle, this first introduction to his upcoming album, Carrie & Lowellslated to release at the end of March. Read more about the album here, and be sure to take a minute to step away from the computer. I can’t tell you how long I’ve been hitting repeat and repeat and repeat.
