I have the pleasure of watching one of my best friends get married to the man she’s given her heart to for the past seven years. Tonight, I will watch two close friends of mine commit to each other for duration of the rest of their lives. Beautiful is an understatement.
Today will be filled with prosecco, shutter sounds, and tons and tons of love. But most importantly, grace. A wedding that was preceded with various, natural, moments of grace between two wonderful people. I love, love, y’all. It’s going to be a good one tonight.
If your ears haven’t heard the genius that is Sydney’s Flume, then let me quickly do you a solid. Your weekend moods have got to involve this talented producer, trust me.
The man behind it all, Harley Streten, experienced an incredible 2012 with his debut album jumping quickly to multiple Australian charts. And just recently, he re-introduced that incredible album as a deluxe version that features the original album, the mixtape, and remixes of and by Flume himself.
Also be sure to check out the future synth-pop sound of his newest original track with The Preatures frontwoman, Isabella Manfredi, below.
BONUS: Oh, and just for good measure – a Disclosure remix.
Swirling guitars, catchy riffs, and lo-fi female vocals are pretty much all I need right now. I want to listen to “Silver Tides” over and over again. Stream Major Leagues’latest single below and be sure to grab the pre-order of their debut EP, Weird Season, out December 6th.
Now it’s truly starting to feel like Fall. I love this time of year, I love the rush of the colder seasons. Something about the crisp air always makes me feel more alive.
Today I’m really digging Melbourne-based quartet, Sleepy Dreamers, who just released their new single, “Bike Song.” Easy going melodies, soft harmonies, and loose guitar chords. I’m all in on this one, enjoy.
These Aussies truly need no reintroduction – their stunning EP, Paradise, which just dropped yesterday, already does quite the job.
Cub Scout’sopening and title track is a glowing pop-anthem. Beyond the bouncy synths and easy harmonies, there’s tales of heartbreak and other relationship struggles. I also love the shifts in tone, such as in the song, “Shuffle,” with a much more downtempo feel. Needless to say, this release is one to keep on repeat, over and over. And certainly worth a share with many.

Been absolutely under the weather as of late. Which basically equals limited listening because I cannot stand the way music sounds when you’re sick. It’s like the frequencies clash, the melody bounces around erratically, and I can’t get a grip on any sort of rhythm.
Finally feeling a bit on the upswing today, I was able to push through our inbox. Deep Sea Arcade‘s tight psychedelic sound stood out almost immediately. Maybe this is the perfect reacquaintance of music to my ears.
Either way, I sat lost in warping debut album, Outlands.
And then from there, the band’s newest and single, “Black Cat.” Stream below and fall in love with that epic closer.
The sweetest vocals and so beautifully shot, Little May’smusic video for their single, “Boardwalks,” completely takes your mind away. I love the simple footage of the trio running around with delicate folk melodies in the background.
