So, we had a GREAT show at Intersoup in Berlin. The place was packed and the crowd seemed to really enjoy the show. We headed back early in the AM to play a small show in Bad Salzuflen for an intimate but loving crowd in a small cafe. Here are a few pics from the last few days.

Hey all,
The kind folks here at What’s Protocol? have asked me to keep a diary of sorts of my current tour of Germany. I’ll be trying to post every other day when I’m able to get to a wifi set up.
For starters, I just slept for 12 hours after being awake for 30 hours. I think I’m back on track and ready for our first show tonight in Bielefeld. We had rehearsal yesterday and the band sounded pretty good for not having played together in 4 months!

We first caught Chris Cubeta and The Liars Club a couple of months back during CMJ in Brooklyn and boy were we impressed. Coming off of his third studio album, Chris will be playing a set right in our turf tonight.
Supporting fellow New Yorkers, Elizabeth and The Catapult!, Chris will step on stage at the Tin Angel here in Philadelphia and show off his folk-tinged rock ‘n’ roll. You don’t want to miss this opportunity to see Chris and his crew bring their rugged indie-rock sound to Old City. We were lucky enough to speak with Chris briefly…
First off, a shout-out and thanks to the FeelingAnxious crew who put on one hell of a CMJ event last night. They kept us full with whiskey and pickel-backs, our ears ringing with fantastic music, and surrounded us with a solid crowd of people.
Our friends Little Anchor eased everyone in with some feel good pop with tight and effortless transitions between songs. Chris Cubeta and the Liars Club immediately displayed a comfortable yet seasoned presence on stage, bringing modesty in the form of incredible alt-folk rock to Brooklyn.
Other notable acts like Elizabeth the Catapult wowed me and really kept the show going up until Last Good Tooth (sort of like an american Noah and the Whale) who closed the event. Hey, I’m proud of Philly and our little music scene (Kurt Vile, War on Drugs, etc. etc. etc.) but man this crowd had some serious energy.
It may have been a bit of struggle this morning to get out of bed (when will they invent coffee IV’s?) but between covering CSS Friday night in Philly and CMJ-ing last night in New York, I’m obviously pretty spent. And in these moments I look to nice, relaxing music to keep me going..much like what Lewis & Clarke create.
