Welcome to a new segment I have aptly named, “I want this.”  My mother can testify (and probably former relationships) that I’m a pretty impatient person.

Whatever, that’s why when I heard the announcement of a Purity Ring and Braids split 7″ I immediately thought to myself, “I fucking want this now.” Unfortunately for me, I can’t have that disc in my hands physically yet but come October 11th you all will have a good idea on what will be purchased.

With those daring vocals of Megan James mixed alongside glitch master, Corin Roddick, you really just can’t help but get lost in the “future-pop” sounds these two create together.

And for Braids’ contribution, a lighter and more dream-pop approach which you can listen to here. Ugh, it’s an understatement when I say that I just cannot wait.

Another thing to add to this impending list is Warm Ghost’s upcoming debut album, Narrows, due out September 27th.  Check the second teaser below that was just released. Haunting, absolutely haunting.
