If you read the previous post you know that we went to the Ellie Goulding show at the Electric Factory in Philly. Lindsey wrote a review of it over at Cowbell so you can check that out for a recap of the events. We were allowed to bring a camera in so I figured I’d share some of the better pictures I was able to snap.
Now that I am into photography I’d like to set up some shoots. If you are an extremely attractive woman and would like to be photographed in the nude, please contact me at Craigslist.org
I spend most of my summer weekends rocking out at the Jersey Shore. Not in the same city that that those morons on tv, I hang in Bro Isle City. Now while we are on opposite sides of the IQ bell curve from the apes, we still do enjoy raging. This means we listen to the same thumping beats as our less intelligent counterparts.
Why did I start this post with that paragraph? To build my credibility for giving out this new award: The Jersey Shore Fist Pump of Approval. On Tuesday Lindsey and I were lucky enough to take in a concert at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia. Ellie Goulding headlined and the recipient of the internet’s newest and greatest award opened.
The Bag Raiders opened their set with some mellower tunes, though they would still be considered dance tunes. They slowly built energy towards some huge thumping indie dance anthems that reminded me much of the music I hear during the weekend. Normally the stuff you were hear in Bro Isle comes from Usher, Pitbull, LMFAO, David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas, etc. After hearing these guys live, I think the DJs along the coastline could sneak one or two of their songs into their sets without offending the majority of the crowd who prefer to hear only mainstream artists and songs they know all the words to.
These guys could inspire legitimate fist pumps, and that deserves an award. Check out the three tracks below as an introduction to the bag Raiders if you need one, then go explore the rest of their music.
He's yelling with excitement as he has just won an award that I invented
