Dropping June 11th via the label Daylight Curfew, this first installment of the trilogy that will be available online as well as limited signed/colored cassettes. His last album, Greyscale, featured a lot more electronic modulation while Helsinki is already sounding gritty and raw. I’m super excited to see how this 3-part album release will sound.
Check out the first single, “Moon Milkshake,” below which integrates that old early 90′s hip hop sound with some impressive production.
And e-dubble does it again folks. This native Philaelphian-turned-Balitmore hip-hop phenom (minus the musical talent, did we trade places?) has been slowly and steadily crafting his skill and gaining a slew of followers.
Instantly I knew this track was going to be something hard and something gritty. In, “Changed My Mind,”e-dubble’s got swift lines and a grizzly power in his voice. This guy is confident with his stream of consciousness style and even throws in some light electronica, with just enough scaling synths.
“I went to sleep and I woke up dead but I changed my mind and I want to live.”
What an anthem.
BONUS TRACKS: I haven’t had much time to write lately but just trust me, I’ll have made it well worth the wait with these ones.
