Good thing I never let the night fall.

No rhyme or reason, just another fabulous freebie from Delaware’s Mean Lady.
I’m in love with the simple production, the subtle banjo plucking, and that timeless voice of Ms. Katie Dill. My god.

This Delaware group makes some of the sweetest music I’ve ever heard. And Katie Dill’s voice is absolutely timeless.
If you haven’t heard of Mean Lady by now then I suggest you sifting through their entire bandcamp catalogue, all of which is offered as a free download. Even be sure to check out Dill’s bandcamp with plenty of lo-fi recorded tracks to warm you up inside.
Check out one of my favorite tracks of theirs below. It’s got a beautiful and simple melody, repeating lines overtop fluttering keys, and a nice, slowly churning build-up.

Thankfully this binge sesh is over. From Wednesday night, to Thanksgiving, to Friendsgiving, to all of the leftovers I have from ALL of this…it’s relieving to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve had a great week but damn does it feel good to return to normalcy.
As I re-organize my life again, this one particular track has really felt fitting for my slow-moving morning. Delaware’s Mean Lady have a talent for blending new and old school psychedelic sounds (among an assortment of other things) in a unique way. Plus, Katie Dill’s got a stellar and mesmerizing voice.
I’m loving the looping going on in “Indian Sun” off their 2010 EP, Kid Friendly. Grab that album for free here and check out their newer material like song, “Far Away” (watch the trippy vid).
