As one who explicitly hates working out in the sultry summer heat, I welcome this time of year with wide, open arms. To not have to break a sweat immediately as I step outside is already enough to warrant my gratitude. And layers are cute.

This is the time of year when I thank myself for owning a gym membership. It’s been a week straight of highs over 90+ degrees (and humidity), running outside is not even an option in my mind.
When the weather isn’t my ideal 68 degrees partly cloudy with a slightly cool breeze, I have to get creative with my workouts. Perhaps I run early in the morning to beat the heat, or maybe I hop on my bike instead. Whatever it is, I make sure I’m still getting my workout fix in and fresh playlists are always a great way to keep the intensity up.
