This song is my newest obsession.
Good Old War isn’t new to the scene and I’m mad excited that they’re Philly based (TLA at the end of this month…).
“That’s Some Dream” comes off their latest self-titled album released June 1st through Sargent House. My taste definitely becomes more poppier come summer time and Good Old War gives me exactly what I want to hear. Their lyrics have true messages that are short and to the point.
“I know everyone would want me to say that I’m not afraid to be alone. I’m gonna live I’m alright, I’m going to die it’s alright, I’m okay.”
They are simple, yet complex. Melancholic pop? Either way, you can tune out and enjoy or really listen and appreciate the craftsmanship that went into creating their 3 part harmonies.
There’s so many things about this song to me (and this fantastic band) worth noting and I’m not even gonna take it on a personal level (we’re not that tight yet).
All I ask is for you to enjoy. Right click my friends.
