Alejandro Rose-Garcia, best known as , has been on my radar for quite some time now. His raw and rugged folk-style takes your ears to another decade, era even. His sound; timeless. His skill; limitless. My love for this man’s music goes beyond words.

In the past, Shakey Graves has put out a lot of sparse music – mostly his vocals at the forefront that serve as the main instrument and focus. But his newest album, slated for an October 1st release, has an incredible amount of promise in the production department. With his first single, “Dearly Departed,” already on the table – our ears are met with another voice, that of singer-songwriter . It’s a wonderful mix, as well as an additional layer of sounds that perfectly wrap the two’s vocals.
